Link Editor Checks
Clicking on this button opens the following window:
There are a total of six checks at your disposal:
- SegmentId of network link does not exist in network database
- ...
- SegmentId of network link is not unique on network database
- Network links need to be unique. This means that if the same SegmentId exists more than once within the database, the check will flag those.
- Direction of Network Link could be wrong
- The network links that constitute a road between two points all need to face in the same dircetion.
- It might however happen that during the process of placing the network links one or several accidently are placed incorrectly.
- Usually the 'Routing' function should remedy this problem. If that does not work, the network link can also be reversed manually.
- First Network Link is at the wrong position
- The topmost network link on the list is not the network link on the road. This problem too should usually be solved by using 'Routing'. Alternatively, the road can be dragged and dropped within list of links.
- TMC Link has no Network Links assigned
- This serves as a help if any TMC links have been forgotten.
- Order of Network Links could be wrong
- The Network Links in the list follow a numeric order. Depending on the point of view, the numbers either ascend or descend. The Network Links on the map need to follow the same rule. If the order is not correct then the check will flag that road. 'Routing' should usually solve this problem too.
A green tick means that there is no such error in the database.
An exclamation mark and a number means that that error occurs so many times in the database.
A black X means that the test has not been run yet.
